Do not idle for a long time

When the idle time is long, the time required for the engine to reach its normal temperature also increases. As a result, the gasoline sprayed onto the back of the valves evaporates more slowly, and carbon deposits are thus formed. At the same time, if the engine idles frequently, the air flow entering the engine will be small, which makes the scouring effect on carbon deposits very weak and promotes the deposition of carbon deposits.

Pay attention to the timing of turning off the engine

For cars equipped with turbochargers, do not turn off the engine immediately after high-speed driving or climbing a slope. Let it idle for 10 minutes before turning it off. Cars with turbochargers form carbon deposits several times faster than ordinary naturally aspirated cars.

It is recommended that car owners, under the condition that all regular maintenance is met, perform a non-disassembly cleaning of the intake system every 20,000 to 40,000 kilometers. That is, without disassembling the engine, use dedicated equipment and methods to remove carbon deposits from the vehicle's intake ducts, valves, fuel lines and other parts that are prone to carbon deposits.
